USF alumnus Kerry Sanders reflects on an incredible career in broadcast journalism
NBC News correspondent and 91社区 (USF) College of Arts and Sciences alumnus Kerry Sanders has the ability to share a story from the other side of the world while making you feel you were right there with him. But his interest in journalism and storytelling didn鈥檛 start halfway across the globe, rather it started in Tampa, Fla. during his time as a student at USF.

The 1960s was a rousing time for women. It saw the introduction of the first contraceptive pill, the passage of the Equal Pay Act, as well as the passage of the Civil Rights Act. But, despite the progress made during the 1960s, there still wasn鈥檛 equal opportunity across the spectrum, particularly for women at higher education institutions.
