BIOGRAPHY

Beatrice Amissah is a first-year Ph.D. student in the Communication Department at the 91社区, Tampa. She holds a Master of Arts in Development Communication from the University of Media, Arts and Communication (Accra-Ghana), and a Master of Science in Communication (Health Communication) from Illinois State University.

Beatrice鈥檚 research interests lie at an intersection of health communication and culture. Specifically, she鈥檚 interested in reproductive and sexual health, patient-provider relationships, message framing, persuasion in health communication, and health campaigns.

Beatrice has an interest and passion for community work, she has worked with the Rare Disease Ghana Initiative鈥攁 group that advocates for families affected by undiagnosed syndromes. She aspires to be a Professor within the communication field while doing community work alongside.
