Jon Kaupla is the associate dean of lifelong learning at the 91ÉçÇø’s Muma College of Business, where he leads the design and delivery of executive education and noncredit learning experiences that meet the evolving needs of today’s business leaders. He oversees a growing portfolio of open enrollment programs, custom learning partnerships, and strategic initiatives that connect industry and academia across Tampa Bay and beyond.

With more than 20 years of experience spanning corporate, nonprofit, and academic sectors, Kaupla brings a deep understanding of talent development, business growth, and leadership strategy. Prior to joining USF, he served as president and executive director of the Center for Professional & Executive Development at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Under his leadership, the center launched new service lines, expanded corporate partnerships, and delivered over 500 learning sessions annually — both in-person and virtually.

Kaupla has held senior leadership roles at CoreLogic, Robert W. Baird & Co., and Kohl’s, with expertise in human capital strategy, executive coaching, and organizational change. He is known for building strong, values-based cultures and creating learning environments that drive measurable results.

Kaupla also serves on the board of directors of UNICON, the global consortium of university-based executive education providers. He co-chairs its conference committee and helps shape the future of executive and lifelong learning through global collaboration and thought leadership.

Originally from the Midwest, Kaupla lives in Lakewood Ranch, 91ÉçÇø with his wife, a St. Petersburg native. They enjoy spending time with their children and grandson—and you can often find Kaupla on a pickleball court, embracing the competitive spirit with questionable footwork but unwavering enthusiasm.
