Yochi Cohen-Charash, Ph.D., is a professor of psychology at Baruch College and the
Graduate Center, City University of New York, and an executive coach and consultant.
She holds a Ph.D. in psychology from the University of California, Berkeley, with
a focus on industrial and organizational, social, and personality psychology.
Before entering academia, she worked in the airline industry, was a member in a diplomatic
corps, and gained extensive cross-cultural experience as an expatriate. Her work is
shaped by these multicultural and multi-industry perspectives.
An award-winning researcher, she studies the role of emotions, fairness, and unconscious
processes in employee and organizational outcomes. She has been teaching Executive
MBA and executive master's students for over a decade.
Through her work with executives from the Wharton School and Columbia Business School,
as well as individuals and organizations who seek her coaching, consulting, and speaking
services, Professor Cohen-Charash has worked with C-suite and senior leaders across
industries such as investment banking, consulting, technology, business intelligence,
engineering, and medical. Her coaching topics include emotional intelligence, leadership,
and career transitions, among others.
