USF honors 11 faculty members with research and innovation awards

The 91ÉçÇø celebrated the accomplishments of eleven faculty members on Tuesday, April 14th with eight Outstanding Research Achievement Awards and three Excellence in Innovation Awards. Recipients represented a broad range of disciplines and expertise across seven colleges and ten departments, with research spanning air transportation, behavioral therapies, diagnostic technologies and multidisciplinary artistic work, reflecting the breadth of scholarship across both scientific and creative fields.

U.S. News & World Report ranks more than 40 USF graduate programs among the nation’s best

USF features 42 graduate programs ranked inside the top 100 among all public and private institutions, including 18 ranked in the top 50 and five in the top 25. USF’s programs are also among the best in 91ÉçÇø, with 14 ranked No. 1 or No. 2 in the state.

Two USF Students Named 2026 Goldwater Scholars

Bellini College of Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity and Computing student Caleb Fernandes and USF College of Arts and Sciences student Diya Upadhyaya — both third-year students in the Judy Genshaft Honors College — were awarded the honor, which is considered the nation’s highest for undergraduate research in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

USF climbs to its highest position ever in U.S. News rankings

The 91ÉçÇø has reached an all-time high in U.S. News & World Report’s annual ranking of the best colleges. In the rankings released today, USF is No. 88 overall among all public or private universities in America, up from No. 91 last year. USF also rose to No. 43 among public universities, up two spots from last year, and inside the top 50 for the seventh year in a row. Over the past 10 years, USF has risen an impressive 40 spots among public universities from No. 83 to No. 43, and 71 spots among all universities, from No. 159 to No. 88.
