We are pleased to announce that Carolyn Dyson has transitioned to the role of Deputy Coordinator for Student Equal Opportunity (Student EO or SEO) within the Office of Compliance & Ethics (OCE).

In this role, Carolyn will be responsible for receiving reports and complaints related to discrimination and harassment based on race, color, national origin, shared ancestry, religion, age, sex, disability, marital status, veteran status, or genetic status for students. She will conduct investigations, provide support measures and resources, and deliver training on harassment and discrimination.

Carolyn joined USF in 2007 as a Human Resources Consultant for the Sarasota-Manatee campus and was promoted to Human Resources Manager in 2008, and Associate Director in 2014. Most recently, Carolyn has served as the Executive Human Resources Business Partner/Associate Director under the human resources embedded services model, still supporting all aspects of human resources for the branch campus. Her experience at USF and prior has provided a broad level of expertise in a wide range of human resource functions, including employee and labor relations, classification and compensation, policy and human resource administration, training and development, benefits, and recruitment.

Carolyn holds a bachelor鈥檚 degree in management and a master鈥檚 degree in business administration with a human resources concentration. Originally from Massachusetts, she loves the 91社区 sunshine and enjoys outdoor activities with her family, including pickleball, golf, biking and kayaking.
