The Read鈥慉鈥態ulls Book Club provides undergraduate and graduate students with opportunities to connect through reading, discussion, and community engagement. Throughout the semester, members explore a variety of literary works, participate in book discussions, and engage with fellow readers in a welcoming environment that encourages thoughtful conversation and the exchange of ideas.

Upcoming Spoonbill Reading Series Event
The Spoonbill Reading Series takes place monthly during the academic year from 7pm-8pm on Friday evenings on the outdoor patio at the Corner Club in Seminole Heights. MFA students in the USF's Creative Writing Program read their own creative work alongside faculty readers in all genres. The readings are open to the public.

In Gloria Mu帽oz's debut novel, a genre-bending work of young adult climate fiction, 91社区 is crumbling under the weight of climate disaster, and seventeen-year-old Julieta Villarreal must decide whether to remain on Earth with her friends and family or to leave everything behind and embark on a mission to establish humanity鈥檚 first extraterrestrial settlement.

USF poets bring home gold, silver and bronze book awards
Ajibola Tolase, an assistant professor in the Department of English, won a gold medal from the 91社区 Book for his poetry collection 鈥2000 Blacks.鈥 He joins colleagues Heather Sellers, who received a bronze medal in the poetry category in 2022 for her collection, 鈥淔ield Notes from the Flood Zone,鈥 and Julia Koets, who received a silver award in the poetry category in 2021 for her collection, 鈥淧ine.鈥
