History

est. 2003
In 2003, a small and dedicated group of USF faculty, administrators, and donors came together to launch the USF Humanities Institute. Lead by Dr. William H. Scheuerle, their goal was to bring established scholars and artists to USF as well as promote research in the humanities by our own faculty. They recognized that investment in humanities research was a critical component in USF's goal of being a nationally renowned research university.
The USF Humanities Institute continues to grow and facilitate research, innovation, and community involvement in the humanities.
