To help prepare for your overall success, we are offering FREE headshots on the day of the event and providing event readiness tips below. 

Tips to prepare and maximize your expo experience: 

  • Choose professional attire that fits your target industry.
  • Research companies attending the fair. 
  • Set specific goals, such as securing interviews or expanding your network.
  • Get your materials ready. Be prepared with your resume and portfolio (as needed).
  • Write a brief, strong introduction with your skills, experience, and goals. Practice saying it before the event.
  • Prepare thoughtful questions to ask recruiters about jobs and the hiring process. Questions show you are interested and engaged.
  • Follow up with recruiters after the event. Collect their contact information and send a thank-you note reinforcing your interest in their organization.
  • Update and tailor your resume and LinkedIn/Handshake profile to reflect relevant skills and experiences.
    • A professional headshot on LinkedIn or Handshake helps you stand out. First impressions are important.

      • Be confident
      • Stay professional while expressing your personal style. Solid colors work best.
