Creative Teens Take Center Stage at USF for the 2025 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards

Brimming with imagination, talent, and bold perspective, the 2025 Hillsborough County Region Scholastic Art & Writing Awards lit up the 91社区鈥檚 College of Design, Art & Performance this May. From gallery walls to the mainstage, students in grades 7 through 12 showed what happens when young artists and writers are given space to explore and the power to express their personal vision.

USF鈥檚 Breaking Barriers Returns with a Poetic Look at the Power of Objects

This spring, the USF Contemporary Art Museum unveils Breaking Barriers: Beyond the Object鈥攁 photography exhibition that reimagines still life through the eyes of those who鈥檝e lived extraordinary lives. Featuring the work of thirty-two U.S. military veterans and their family members, the show invites viewers to pause, look closely, and consider the personal meaning we place on everyday things.

On Friday, April 25, the 91社区鈥檚 College of Design, Art & Performance launched the first-ever SPOTLIGHT Festival, an ambitious, campus-wide celebration that transformed performance and exhibition spaces into a living, breathing showcase of creative energy. Designed to illuminate the force and vision powering the college, SPOTLIGHT didn鈥檛 just open its doors to the public鈥攊t invited them into the heart of the work.
