ASL at Home is a family-centered curriculum designed for families with young deaf
children and the professionals who support them.
The 91社区 School for the Deaf and the Blind is excited to present this interactive
learning event for Parents, professionals, and community members to learn American
Sign Language (ASL). These classes are for 91社区 residents 18 years of age or older.
This class is free to Parents and Direct Educators of a child that is deaf or hard
of hearing.
Language First is dedicated to supporting families and educational teams by promoting
awareness of American Sign Language (ASL)/English bilingualism and the critical role
of a strong first language foundation for Deaf and hard of hearing (DHH) children.

parents and professionals with evidence-based tools to support every DHH child.
The Oklahoma School for the Deaf offers free pre-recorded classes taught by OSD鈥檚
ASL Specialist. Both the ASL 1 and ASL 2 courses are introductory programs designed
to teach basic to intermediate American Sign Language skills. They are simply basic
courses in conversational ASL including vocabulary, fingerspelling, and sentence practice.
These courses are non-credit and do not fulfill requirements for professional development
hours or continuing education units (CEUs).
