Honors Undergraduate Research Course

  • First, check with your major department to determine if an undergraduate research course is offered (e.g., Prefix-4910, 4914, 4930, 4970). Students should register for this course if it is offered.
  • If no departmental research course is available, students can enroll in IDH 4910.

Please note:

  • IDH 4910 does not count towards students’ Honors core course requirements.

To enroll in IDH 4910, students must complete the IDH 4910 Honors Undergraduate Research Contract with their research mentor. The mentor must then email the completed form to Honors-Records@usf.edu no later than the week before classes start for the intended semester of enrollment.

Upon confirmation from the Honors Records Team, students will self-enroll in IDH 4910 and select the appropriate number of credit hours. Questions regarding the contract should be directed to Honors-Records@usf.edu.
