Individual Development Plan and Career Counseling
Where do you want to go with your career? An Individual Development Plan will help you explore career options and figure out a roadmap of how to get there. This plan will also help your faculty mentor give you the training you need for your chosen path.
USF uses the ACHIEVE IDP developed by Dr. Tracy Costello, Assistant Dean, Postdoctoral Affairs and Graduate Student Development. Seminars and workshops to develop and implement an IDP are offered regularly and found on the Events Calendars. (and )
How It Works: Broadly, you will take stock of your skills and interests, find career options that fit these, read more about these careers and develop a plan to get you there. Importantly, the ACHIEVE framework also adds consideration of your habits, mindset, values, and wellness to help you holistically create a plan to achieve your dream career.
If you are interested in 1-1 career counseling, please schedule an appointment with Dr. Tracy Costello, Assistant Dean for Postdoctoral Affairs and Graduate Student Success, through
