Graduate Studies Dean Search
The 91社区 is launching an internal search for a dynamic, forward鈥憈hinking leader to guide and re鈥慹nvision graduate education at USF. As our research enterprise continues to grow, the university has a timely opportunity to transform the graduate student experience鈥攕trengthening recruitment, support, academic excellence, and career outcomes while positioning USF as a destination for graduate education.
This role will provide strategic leadership to reimagine graduate education holistically, build a strong and coordinated graduate infrastructure, and advance a bold vision for graduate success that aligns with USF鈥檚 aspirations as a leading public research university.
About the Office of Graduate Studies
The Office of Graduate Studies serves as the center of leadership for graduate education at the USF, providing academic oversight, coordination, and support for graduate students, programs, and faculty across the university. The office works collaboratively with colleges and departments to advance high鈥憅uality graduate education, foster student success, and support the research and professional development essential to graduate and postdoctoral training.
Led by the Dean of Graduate Studies, the office oversees academic policies and procedures, supports recruitment and enrollment efforts, and enhances the graduate student experience from admission through graduation and beyond. Its work spans multiple areas critical to graduate education, including admissions, fellowships and awards, thesis and dissertation processes, professional development, and postdoctoral affairs.
Within the Office of Graduate Studies are several dedicated units that support distinct aspects of graduate education. These include the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs and the College of Graduate Studies, which serves as the academic home for newly developed interdisciplinary graduate programs. Together, these offices provide centralized leadership while partnering closely with colleges, departments, and campus units to support graduate education across all USF campuses.
