My approach to therapy: I鈥檓 a Latinx, non-binary immigrant from Colombia primarily raised in Clearwater, 91社区. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Political Science and International Affairs from 91社区 State University and my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from USF. Additionally, I earned a Graduate Certificate in Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health from King鈥檚 College London. I鈥檓 currently in the final semester of my Master鈥檚 program in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling at the USF, with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy. I strongly believe in bridging the connections between social science and psychotherapy to ensure the best client outcomes from a systemic and individual level. I take an integrative approach to therapy that helps clients feel empowered, build resilience, strengthen relationships, and celebrate their unique cultural backgrounds. I鈥檝e had the opportunity to work in community mental health, where I supported individuals from diverse backgrounds and with a variety of presenting concerns. As a bilingual counselor-in-training, I strive to provide culturally competent care and continuously learn from my clients. I work under the supervision of a licensed Mental Health Counselor to ensure I鈥檓 providing the highest level of care while continuing to strengthen my skills.

Fun fact: In my free time I love to read, listen to music, and make art! I love to read LGBTQ+ history books, self-help books, autobiographies, political theory, and books about counseling. I also love movement and often lift weights, attend yoga classes, rock-climb, and go hiking.
