Off the Wall: Honors Performing Arts Showcase

Off the Wall Annual Performing Arts Showcase Graphic

Celebrate the creativity of the Judy Genshaft Honors College community at the annual Off the Wall Performing Arts Showcase! Founded in 2015, Off the Wall highlights the artistic talents of Honors students, faculty, and alumni.

Offerings span from visual arts through our gallery exhibits, as well as live performative arts through song, dance, creative writing, poetry, and other dynamic forms of artistic expression.

Spring 2026 Honors Off the Wall

The Spring 2026 Off the Wall exhibition centers on the theme of Embodiment — how we experience, understand, and express being human through the emotions we carry, the bodies we inhabit, and the stories we live.

We invite our community of students and staff to submit creative work, including but not limited to visual art, musical performance, dance, spoken word, and creative writing.

Be Part of Off the Wall

We are looking for artwork to be showcased at the Honors Off the Wall Exhibit. This juried exhibit aims to highlight our Honors students' diverse talents and interests, ranging from photography/film, visual art, dance, sculpture, creative writing, painting, performances, and more. Any and all creative media may be submitted through this form. This exhibit will be hosted by Professor Crosland's students in the IDH 3100 Curatorial Practice & Public Art course.

Requirements:

  • Applicants must be students in the Judy Genshaft Honors College or enrolled in the Global Classroom: Health Humanities and Geographies partnership.
  • Non-Honors student applicants may submit work if they collaborate with at least one Honors student, if not enrolled in the Global Classroom: Health Humanities and Geographies. The Honor student must submit the form.
  • Applicants may submit 1-5 pieces of artwork.
  • A series, such as triptychs or other bodies of work to be hung as part of a whole, can be considered one piece of artwork for submission purposes.

If selected to be a part of this exhibit, this event can satisfy one of the two experiential learning activities required for Honors students accepted to the college in Fall 2025 and later, which will also result in an experiential learning scholarship. The Honors Public Art Committee will review submissions on a case-by-case basis to determine if the artwork qualifies for experiential learning credit.

  • Application deadline: March 24, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.
